As the Design Engineer for Hearing Protection, you'll transform creative concepts into market-ready solutions by crafting compelling product designs, selecting optimal materials, and ensuring precise, timely project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Industrial design / Product development
- Overall responsibility for technical design of products
- Create innovative candidates addressing needs of customers
- Develop concept prototypes
- Manufacture functional/visual prototypes
- Arrange and follow-up on ergonomical and usability studies
- Do adequate design for manufacturing
- Define adequate material depending on application and type of product
- Develop 2D/ 3D drawings
- Perform life cycle testing
- Collaborate with production techniques definition together with Mechanical Engineering
- Technical communication/ feedback to suppliers
- Organize technical meetings, including technical alignments and brainstormings
- Collaborate on product requirements definition together with multidisciplinary teams incl. PL, PM, acoustic, material experts and manufacturing engineering
- Project management
- Manage product design related processes (e.g. packaging, manual development, claims studies, Certification, manufacturing/delivery of parts, product assembly
- Responsible for internal and external communications from design side
- Set and manage technical timeline/s and product/parts costs
- Create and maintain project technical documentation
Your Profile:
- 7+ years Design Engineering and Project Management - Product Management.
- Idea generation to product execution
- Prototyping
- Concept developmen
- Tooling/injection molding
- 3D CAD (Solidworks)
- User interface/usability/ergonomics studies
- Design for assembly (DFA)
- Solidworks
- MS Office (including MS Teams)
