I am looking for a Sr. Manager Maintenance & Engineering for my biotech client in Breda.
Position-Specific Tasks:
- Ensure adherence to GMP procedures and completion of GMP documentation (Quality compliance and document management).
- Develop a long-term and medium-term maintenance plan, providing clear guidelines for those involved in the maintenance effort.
- Ensure all activities comply with European, national, and local regulations.
- Manage the departmental budget.
- Maintain close collaboration with internal and external clients.
- Execute and/or manage capital projects within the area of responsibility.
- Serve as a member of the Operations Management Team.
- Organize appropriate actions in case of unforeseen interventions related to quality, planning, staffing, equipment breakdowns, performance problems, etc.
- Ensure EH&S compliance and report accidents, near-accidents, and unsafe situations.
- Work closely with the EH&S coordinator to maintain a high level of EH&S compliance within the Production area.
- Seek continuous improvement of systems and equipment.
- Develop and maintain state-of-the-art engineering and maintenance principles that form the foundation of all engineering efforts within the production environment.
- Enhance sustainability efficiency and technology integration (predictive maintenance, AI, etc.).
- Ensure all relevant information on maintenance and equipment is entered into the Maximo system, utilizing its full capabilities for MWO, spare parts, PM-Job Plans, manuals, etc.
- Conduct risk assessment and mitigation (FMECA, RCM).
- Changes and/or additional responsibilities with associated tasks may be initiated by the Director of Operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- University degree or relevant experience in Facility Management, Engineering, or a similar field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in an industrial environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Management or Project Management.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical/GMP environment.
- Experience in a packaging environment is a plus.
- Experience in product and process quality control is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experienced in project management for various types and sizes of capital projects.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written communication.
- Experienced in managing large contracts for both capital and operational activities.
- IT literacy skills in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently with a proactive and flexible attitude.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Demonstrates strategic agility and aligns priorities with business requirements.
- Actively works to remove barriers to collaboration and employs a variety of techniques and methods to achieve win-win solutions.
- Drives for results, ensuring high-quality decisions, processes, and outcomes.
- Effectively communicates improvements that benefit long-term business goals and objectives to local management.
Preferred Requirements:
- Familiarity with European, national, and local regulations, such as ARBO law.
- Knowledge of RCM, TPM, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience with Maintenance Management Systems such as Maximo.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with CAD systems.
- Good presentation skills.
Practicalities:
- The full-time position requires being onsite for up to 4 days.
- Duration: 8-10 months with a possibility of extension.
