Medical Affairs Lead

We are currently partnering with an innovative global healthcare organisation to appoint a Medical Affairs Lead for Germany. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for shaping and driving medical and scientific strategy across a portfolio focused on chronic disease management and patient self-monitoring technologies.
Working closely with cross-functional teams at both local and international level, this individual will play a key role in ensuring scientific excellence, supporting product lifecycle activities, and strengthening engagement with the external medical community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic medical and scientific leadership across Medical Affairs activities, including education programmes, congress symposia, and advisory boards
- Act as a trusted partner to commercial and cross-functional teams, delivering high-quality scientific guidance and ensuring alignment across functions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with HCPs, KOLs, scientific societies, and other external stakeholders
- Develop and implement scientific metrics and insight strategies to assess content effectiveness, identify data gaps, drive data dissemination, and inform broader company strategy
- Support product lifecycle and launch activities, ensuring scientific accuracy and effective positioning within the therapeutic landscape
- Contribute to the development of scientific communications, including slide decks, publications, and educational materials
- Support internal teams (e.g. marketing, labelling and sales functions) with scientific input, including review of materials and engagement with external stakeholders
- Monitor emerging clinical data, scientific trends, and competitive landscape, translating insights into actionable strategies
Profile & Requirements
- Advanced degree in Life Sciences required
- 10+ years in Medical Affairs within medtech, ideally within chronic disease management, digital health, or patient monitoring technologies
- Fluent in German and English (mandatory), additional European languages are a plus
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, scientific communications, and medical information standards
- Proven ability to engage and influence both internal stakeholders and external experts at a senior level
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with strong cross-functional collaboration and strategic thinking capabilities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear, impactful messages
- Experience supporting product launches and lifecycle management activities is highly desirable
